Jarmo Peltola (Ph.D.) is Researcher of Social History at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Tampere. His most important study at the field of microhistory is Depression, Shortage and Unemployment, The Livelihood of Tampere Families in 1928–1938, The Depression of the 1930s in the Industrial City II, (2008). He has researched and published in the fields of structures, employment and local history. He is interested in methodological problems of long term structural development of Society and microhistorical life stories.
